Bradford Firefighters held their annual Car Wash for Muscular Dystrophy on Saturday, June 16, in the parking lot of Bradford's Walmart Supercentre - and did "amazingly" well.

The Car Wash got off to a slow start, after firefighters had to respond to a call, but from 10 a.m. to shortly after 1 p.m. there was a non-stop stream of cars coming through, and donating.

The car wash and BBQ raised $1,755 for MD - which Walmart has promised to match, in addition to providing all of the soap, hot dogs and hamburgers, to ensure that all of the money collected could go to MD Canada.

The $3510 total beats last year, when the event raised $2000 for MD.

Watch for the Firefighters' Boot Drive at CarrotFest, in August.
