Foxwood Farm has a much-loved tradition, just before Halloween: the riding stable, located at 2042 Line 13 in Bradford West Gwillimbury holds a horse show, followed by a Halloween Costume Party. Both young riders and their horses dress up for the occasion and, says Foxwood owner Robyn Freer, "I think they're more excited about this than the classes!"
Each of the entries on October 27 received applause, a ribbon for their effort, and treats for the riders. Among the creative costumes - a group of kids dressed as a McDonald's Happy Meal, their horse wearing a giant hot dog bun, who won "Most Creative Costume"; riders in Egyptian robes leading a horse disguised as a 2-humped camel ("Cutest Costume"); and a group of "Prima Ballerinas" leading the only Horse Ballerina, who won a prize for "Most Bling."
