Bradford - Once again, Smiles are Free at Bradford Family Dentistry.
Dr. Jesse Chai, his staff and a small army of volunteers will be holding the 4th annual Dentistry from the Heart event at Bradford Family Dentistry, on Friday, May 30 - offering FREE basic dental care to those in need. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., on a first come, first served basis, Dr. Chai and his team will provide free cleanings, fillings and simple extractions for those who may not be able to afford regular dental care.
In the past three years, over 220 residents have received more than $60,000 in free dental services - with some residents lining up in the early morning hours, to ensure that they could be seen by the team. Dr. Chai expects Year 4 will be every bit as busy.
Dentistry from the Heart was launched in 2001 by Dr. Vincent Monticciolo, who realized that millions of people could not afford simple dental health care. The free event was designed to “give back” to his community - and has now grown to include over 200 events, coast to coast, in Canada and the U.S.
“It all comes down to wanting to provide something greater for my community,” said Dr. Chai. “The services we provide through events like Dentistry from the Heart help more than just a patient’s teeth. It gives each person renewed confidence, and a reason to smile.”
