Hwy. 11 Cruisers cruise to successful fundraiser

By Bradford Times Staff

The Highway 11 Cruisers Car Club hosted their end-of-season Show at the Green Lane GO Train Station, north of Newmarket, on Sept. 18 – a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of York.

There were vendors, a farmers' market, gourmet food trucks, and live music on the main stage, as antique and classic cars, trucks, custom cruisers, street rods, competition and muscle cars, and motorcycles filled the GO station parking lots, under brilliantly sunny skies – a perfect day for a Show 'n Shine.

Fundraising efforts were every bit as successful. The Hwy. 11 Cruiser report that the annual Show raised over $10,000 for charity.

The Car Show, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is a benefit for the Helping Hand Food Bank, and admission is a cash donation or donation of non-perishable food (please - no expired food!). The show includes a fundraising BBQ, bake sale, games and trophies.
