Planting trees for the future

By Bradford Times Staff

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the South Simcoe Police Service, the Bradford West Gwillimbury-Innisfil Police Services Board  and the police service planted two maple trees – one at the South Division, and one at the North Division police stations – and buried a Time Capsule nearby, filled with items representative of the amalgamated police force.

The event is  part of a series of activities, celebrating the success of the municipal Police Service, which was created through the amalgamation of the Innisfil and Bradford West Gwillimbury police forces in 1997.

The trees that were planted on October 23 were donated by Hermanns  Garden & Landscaping.
